You have all been so kind to me that I can hardly know what words to pick to express my gratitude for you.

My family has always stood by my side, and I always knew who would be there to help me or back me up, whatever the case. I am very fortunate in that way.

I am especially grateful to my mom, my greatest friend for all times, for her understanding and wisdom.

She seemed to understand me even when I myself hardly did, and could always find such words that would offer me a sound view of the situation and give hope for the better. Thank you for saying no, being the bad guy being a shoulder to cry on, and helping me exert myself but most of all, Kodi, thank you for giving up so much to become my mom and my best friend.

To my dad I thank you for the sacrifice of working everyday and for all you’ve given in this life, I am very thankful. For me, you have always been the source of great laughter. You gave me the feeling of assurance, for I knew you would always stand for me and love me as your daughter no matter what happened- even at my first attempts in the kitchen!

Kaitlin, I’d like to say again how much I cherish every day spent with you, all your support and affection. Thank you for being my friend, and more recently – for helping me to go through the pre-marriage preparations. You always patiently listen, let me vent even in the middle of the night, offer a piece of advice, and helping me make everything feel as though it would be just fine. You are well beyond your years and I am truly lucky to have you as a friend, a shopping aficionado, a “let’s blast the radio with the windows down and wind in our hair” partner, but most of all lucky to call you my sister.

All jokes aside, I am very grateful to my parents and sister because they presented me with a unique gift: the awareness that you are loved not because you are beautiful, clever, perceptive, or rich – you are loved as you are, and will be loved forever because thats the sort of family bond that we have. I would also like to say thank you to my family for making Sean feel the same as I do, cherished and loved. We could not have become the strong couple we are today without all of your blessings. Thank you so much for just being you. I am so lucky to call you my family!

I would also like to take the time to tell Sean, I’ve cherished every day spent with you (even when you’ve been 665.4 miles away). It seems to me now that I’ve always known you, and as these past few years passed with Sean by my side; always ready to accompany me, set me laughing, hug me, and say how he loved me, has made me the happiest I’ve ever been. I know that there is absolutely nothing that he won’t do for me, and nothing I wouldn’t do for him. He filled these years with an unforgettable feeling of mutual affection, and I can hardly imagine my life without his daily calls, video chat, or late night shared movies over Skype. I love you, my dear soon to be husband, and I am fortunate to have found you. I step into this promise of marriage with a light and happy heart, I am holding your hand fast and I know that our future together will be a great one!

I am really happy and thankful for everything you all have done for me. I remember all the times our family has had together. Movies on weekends, learning to cook in the kitchen, and watching anime together, and the time we’ve shared has been very precious to me.

Now I am on the next step of the journey of my life. I’ve found the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. Although I will always be your son (brother), I am also going to become a husband to my beloved Sarah, and a son to Kodi & Ranjan, and a brother to Kaitlin. I thank you for being there for me as I take the first step in making my own family.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family and trusting in me to take care of your beautiful daughter. Although we haven’t known each other for too long, I already feel accepted and part of a larger whole. You are also my family now. I want you to know that I shall always do my best to reward the faith that you have all shown me and to give Sarah a happy life.

It is to you I thank the most. In finding you I have found the part of myself that I have been missing all these years. It is with you by my side that I am complete and confident that no matter what the future may bring, as long as we are together we can overcome any difficulty and have a happy life. I wish to grow old with you and start our family. Our future together will be an amazing journey!
