Sean and Sarah’s S+S crest was forged from the experiences and memories of the pair’s early dates.

Their first date was a beautiful drive down Highway-1 towards Santa Cruz. It was Sarah’s first time to the amusement park and Sean had a wonderful time showing her the sea lions on the pier, the salt water taffy shop, Loggers Revenge Water slide, and the Giant Dipper mesmerized them and gave the friends a fun time in each others company. They first held hands while walking along the boardwalk, a simple act which would lead to a relationship down the road. As the two rode the Sky Tram, the cold ocean breeze was a nice excuse to cuddle and they felt an instant connection.

A few months latter, after they had become an official couple, Sean received the most adorable gift from Sarah. It was a photograph of them riding the Sky Tram from their Santa Cruz trip. There were numerous mementos from the trip on the picture frame: a ticket stub from the rides, a ring from the merry-go-round, and shells from the beach. It is on this gift that the emblem was born; a little S+S was carved into the picture frame encircled by the merry-go-round’s metal ring.

After about a year of being together, Sean and Sarah were invited to a summer beach house, where they had fun in the sun, enjoyed the cold water, and admired the sparkling sand. Their crest remerged when a very sun burnt Sean drew S+S in the fools gold sparkly sand. Although not permanent, it would be forever etched in their hearts.

The S+S emblem would take its most iconic form and permanently become a symbol of their love. Sarah flew 500 miles from her home in the Bay Area to San Diego to spend some much needed time with Sean before his school started up again. The sun was bright and hot, the gentle breeze carried the song of the ocean, and the two enjoyed a picnic lunch on the nearby Cliffside of La Jolla overlooking the majestic ocean. As the sun set on this perfect day, a near by tree caught their attention. It was already covered in scars, carvings, holes, and scratches but one branch stood out. Clear of all markings or imperfections, it was as if the tree was offering it’s barky canvas for Sean to let the world know how much he loved Sarah. He carved (S+S) was carved into its bark. It was here that Sean and Sarah promised each other eternal love, knowing that one day, they would grow old, share many experiences and adventures together, like the tree.

And it is this eternal bond that we would like to share with you. Made of lasting acrylic, and perfectly cut by Sean with a Lasercamm’s Hydrogen Laser Beam, these tokens of love will last as long as the endless love they represent. The richness of purple is an elegant mix of the two distinct and polar opposite personality types of Sean and Sarah. Sean exudes the calm and coolness of the color blue while Sarah embodies the warmth of the fiery red. The hard plastics acrylic is the strength of their resolve and dedication to each, while the gold etching shows the brightness and wealth the two loves bring to each other.
