Gown

Gowns are a long flowing women’s dress usually worn to a formal affair such as a wedding. It ranges from tea and ballerina to full length styles. These gowns are often made of an elegant fabric such as chiffon, velvet, satin, or silk. Although the terms Ball Gowns and Evening Gowns can be used interchangeably, they usually have a full, flared skirt and a strapless bodice; or can be any silhouette, sheath, mermaid, A-line or trumpet shape, with straps, halters or even sleeves.
 

Cocktail Dress

A Cocktail Dress is a woman’s dress worn at cocktail parties, semi-formal, or similar black tie occasions. At semi-formal occasions, a less elaborate, shorter length cocktail dresses may be worn. The Cocktail Dress is intended to be a long lasting and versatile.
 

For Women

Sari

A Sari is a strip of unstitched cloth, ranging from four to nine meters in length that is draped over the body in various styles. The most common style is for the Sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder baring the midriff. The word Sari is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘strip of cloth’. The Sari is usually worn over a petticoat with a blouse forming the upper garment. These are usually more dressy with plenty of embellishments such as mirrors or embroidery, and may be worn on special occasions. The Sari developed as a garment of its own in both North and South India at around the same time, and is in popular cultural Indian icon. The Sari is usually not recommended for first time wearers.
 

Shalwar Kameez

The Salwar Kameez is a outfit similar in manner to shirt and pants worn by both men and women in Central and South Asia. The Salwar is a loosely fitting pajama like pant. The legs are often wide at the top, and narrow at the ankle. The Kameez is a long shirt of tunic length which hits at the middle of the thigh, but traditionally would come down to the top of the knees. The side seams (known as the Chaak), are left open below the waist-line, this gives the wearer greater freedom of movement. The Salwar Kameez is recommend over the Sari for first time wearers.
